The instructions are simple...
Sure sounds like fuel. First off, I'd take the drain screws out of the carby bowls and with the tank tap 'on' let it dribble out for a bit. Replace screws & try running it again. Often the cause of idling OK but no revs is water in the fuel that can't get through the jets thereby blocking them when you increase suction by opening the throttle
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah heard it running, reved it up a bit and all was sounding and going sweet.
If i knew how to do that i would give it a go but i wouldnt know where to start?

And Paul is correct... a relation of mine works for the civil section of the courts, and has mentioned a few times that even private sales (sans AIWI) must be as specified. 'Goes like a dream' indicates an expectation...

Someone down your way will no doubt show you how...tis easy. However, if bike ran fine on testing but not after trailering to yours, I would be querying something else. Say...dislodged 'something' when using tiedowns....don't know what tho. Should be a simple fix once you identify reason.

when i took mine for a test ride before i bought it 3 weeks ago it die at every light and stop sign and everytime i allmost stopped really.
before recieving the bikes the plugs sparks and carbies got cleaned (so im told) and it runs allright now but i still get an issue like that every now and again

Yeah, thats what happens with mine because of lack of revs although the accerator is back as far as it can go.
Bike shop said to get carbs cleaned and stuff so i might try that first

i find if i hold the throttle full open while its "dead" and slowly ease it off to the point where it starts to "die" and hold it just above that point for abit.
i also find that if im going along the motorway a fully twisted throttle is less power than a slightly less twisted one.
i need a manual too, was going to have to look for one anyway so i'll get around to it soonish.

oh yea, have a look around as there are a few bandit 250 threads at the moment, theres an interesting one about a faulty coil give crap power at low rpms

Is the oil at the correct level, i.e. Not grossly overfilled?
