    Drag racing

Hey, I'm keen as to have a go at this... What do I need gear wise to do it? I can't get hold of PBDRC, will I need leathers, boots etc? or are they happy just with a helmet and "suitable clothing"? I have some leathers but they dont zip together...

The next drag day at Ruapuna is the 16th..

Shame you're in Chch mate, otherwise Saturday would've been the day for you. Gear, different places, different rules, sure someone down that way has been there done that and will be able to help you out.

You need zip together leathers and suitable boots, gloves and a helmet less tha 5 years old. Your bike needs to be in a road legal state unless a purpouse built dragster.

I'll see what else I can find out, I work with a guy who knows most of this.

Still asking about the track for when you guys come down, don't make me tell them to ban silver GSXRs.

To be fair it's $20 for something that is current for 2 years (judging by the title). A PDF version would be good though

    Rule book

It's a rule book for all classes including construction requirements & details so is very cheap for what you get however you may find MC only class requirements on a nzdragbike site. Street class (closed road) requirements are slightly different but are for 1/8 mile only (run by NZ Hot Rod Assn Clubs)
Basic requirements for both are Full face helmet, leather gloves, Motorcycle Jacket & pants, Boots & a brain.

meremere requires boots, approved helmet, gloves andleather jacket to 160kph,two peice to 200kph and one peice over 200, being a honda you MAY get 200+ so a one peice may be the go, but often if it's ya first time you'll get told to sort it for next time....
