Aye, agreed. First corner on the CBR600RR it felt like it would never go around. It did require a modification of technique. But it was apparent that it could hustle. Lovely engine, smooth and not at all frightening.

Don't listen to any advice on here...except this!

Get to your friendly local bike shop and test ride LOTS AND LOTS of bikes!
Do NOT go in there with any preconceived ideas...be open minded and don't be scared to try something you never thought you might like!
Or you could just get a GSX1400........

A teacher at my school has a relatively new Honda Hornet 900 - It looks very sexy with wide tyres and a nice coat of paint.

Now what to get i have got a spending limit of 15K which is nice,
A CT110 should do just nicely.

I like the Hornet except I reckon it needs a different headlight setup. Skelstar is talking about changing his and has a pic which is pretty cool.

Nice work bud, you gotta show me how to do that. As much as I hate to say it and its not new but if ya want a high mileage bulletproof try an RF900 Suzi. I had two buddies achieve well over 90,000 troublefree K's. One is at 118,000 and the other at 92,000.
The riding position is pretty good, its quick and a good handler.

I feel like such a dirty trator to Honda and am going to take a shower now (ever seen the shower scene from the crying game?).

I recently went the SV1000S Black, race pipes, single seat cover router myself. Sounds great, goes great, handles great... really is a treat to ride. Makes a great change after my 4 cylinder life, hold a gear through the twisties, just listening to the overun. They're good fun, and the sound coming out of bends is just like watching Carl Foggarty on the tele They're damn cheap at the moment, cheap enough to justify loading it up with goodies

I'd go for a Vtwin for that price, VTR and SV are both under 13k new, if you look around you can even get a second hand one at the right price or a TL with all the mods and low K's, I got mine for 8k with only 16000 on the clock and it had 2bros cans, braided lines and packrack and a twin will make you sound like the god of thunder racing through the hills
