Now... just need to organise that full licence

(Am in a foul mood after standing in line at the AA centre for 40 minutes with nothing to show for it. Gotta go back and book tomorrow )
From experience... Make sure you get the licence before you ride it... otherwise you might be riding it again later....11 months down the track.... $10000 down the track....

Good onya though I hope to be on one at the end of the year as well
See Robert Taylor for any Ohlins requirements www.northwest.co.nz
    Thanks Colemans Suzuki
    Thanks AMCC
I use DID Chains and Akrapovic Exhausts

That is NOT an appealing though, (the licence), it is good to see there are others interested in the bike too

Full licence is a piece of piss... Things ive heard about the K6, better brakes than the K5 (which has awesome brakes) about 108-109hp at the back wheel... Stock suspension is a bit soft (just like the K4 and K5) but is great for the road.... Lower seat than the K5 (about 25mm lower)...

Personally after sitting on one, i would chuck on some after market rearsets, even though you can adjust the stock ones, im used to a more aggressive riding style... The stock pipe is supposed to sound awesome as well..

Yeah, I'd look like a right noob if I fail the full licence test. (Probably tempted fate now by saying that )

Re the dimensions, the following is taken from this review (http://www.mcnews.com.au/Testing/Suz...00/page1.htm):

"Thanks to the narrower powerplant, Suzuki have also been able to trim fat off the machines girth for a slimmer feel with the frame width reduced by a significant 35mm over the previous model. The shorter fuel tank and redesigned seat give the rider a hip to bar measurement a noticeable 30mm shorter than before. Making the slim perch an even more attractive prospect is a 15mm lower seat height and new foot pegs that can be moved both vertically and horizontally through a 14mm plane, further enhancing rider comfort. I never saw reason to adjust a thing and could tuck in behind the screen of the new GSX-R600 perfectly with never a hint of wind buffeting around the helmet, even at over 250kph down Phillip Island’s main straight. In fact, I found the tuck position while in attack mode just about perfect for my 180cm frame."

I was getting a feel for how big it is in the shop, and as they didn't have one, was sitting on a K4/5? 1000R. And the 600 has, 5mm lower seat, 10mm longer, 5mm wider, overall 5mm? less height. So I got a (I'm pretty sure) good feel for the dimensions, and they felt good.

It will be a change coming from the GSX 2fiddy though, it's a bit of a tank. Just trying to find dimensions to compare both bikes, but not much on the 250 around.

If you're after a clue as to what it sounds like, here's a link to a pretty good vid. The quality is a bit naff and on one PC I viewed it on the sound was totally shot, but...

(Don't know how bit it is, but probably in the region of 10mb)

    [GSX250 Invader '04]
Fuel Tank: 18.0 (including 4.5 reserve)
    Overall Length: 2085
    Overall Width: 710
    Overall Height: 1175
    Wheelbase: 1410
    Ground Clearance: 135
    Seat Height: ?
    Dry Weight: 169

    [GSXR K4 600]
    Fuel Tank:
    Overall Length: 2,075
    Overall Width: 715
    Overall Height: 1,135
    Wheelbase: 1,390
    Ground Clearance: 128
    Seat Height: 825
    Dry Weight: 161kg

    [GSXR K6 600]
    Fuel Tank: 16.5L
    Overall Length: 2,040
    Overall Width: 715
    Overall Height: 1,125
    Wheelbase: 1,400
    Ground Clearance: 130
    Seat Height: 810
    Dry Weight: 161kg

Comparing the 250 vs 600 I'm surprised by the real lack of difference in measurements. But I guess the two that make the biggest difference are only out by 45 and 50, (lenght and height) respectively.

Couldn't find the K5 stats, but there isn't a great deal of difference between the K4 and K6. Guess it comes down to longer wheelbase and lower seat height.

shrug thats only 250 over top of the 04-05 which is piss all, but the problem is when you compare it to the 636 which is 15,500(last time i looked)

I have just read a very positive track-based review of both the 600 and the 750 in the April "Two Wheels" mag.

    Nice looking bikes too!!!
