I think about Sam each and every time I round that corner, and each and every time a young dude on a 250 arrives at the Whush.
Let's look out for each other and be careful out there.

It's a tribute to Sam that he's remembered by strangers a year later.

Lou, You are probably as old as I am and been doing this a while. I remember them all..... Thankfully not all at once!Originally Posted by Lou Girardin
RIP Sam... Like others have said, you I do remember as a bloody decent guy which is something increasingly rare. Only rode with you a couple of times but they were GOOD days!

thanks for the post-
like the others - i still think about sam's passing often -
may the sun rise in front of me
may the rain fall behind me
and the wind follow me
may the angels of my brothers and sisters
who have gone before me
guard my travels
for they know the perils
of the road ahead of me
keep me safe through the rough city streets
on my way to the land of swirling turns
and rolling hills
let the colours of fall keep me warm
let the eagle guide me to the mountaintops
let the moons light guide me
through the night
may my tyres not fail me
nor my engine grow old
may my bike draw life
from the streams i pass
keep my seat soft and my mind sharp
let the air of spring breathe life
into my soul
to journey to another adventure
besides my brothers and sisters
RIP Sam. Has it really been a year since your passing rocked KB to the core? Although I never met you, your death was the saddest thing for me to have read on this site. But it also lead to the time that I have been the most proud of my fellow KB'ers as they honoured your passing at your funeral with awesome repect showen to your family.
Thank you Jim2 for starting this thread for I had been wondering about Sam's passing but could not remember the dateMay we never forget him.

DON'T RIDE LIKE YA STOLE IT, RIDE TO SURVIVE.
Did a search and found the thread showing what happened that day...

It was such a sad read, and I guess for me, a sobering thought of what could happen. One reaction could be to quit riding because of the danger involved, but doing that feels like a cop out. It might be the right choice for some, but not for all who have stayed here, obviously...
Despite what others may say, I know that there is a God and there is life after this one. However, while we're here, let's make our lives count for good, to leave this world a better place than when we found it.
Sounds like Sam was such a guy... Good on ya all for remembering.
RIP Sam.

Yeah - I think of Sam every time I go through that corner too Hitcher.
Not much to say on this type of anniversary but Sam was a real good sort and it was great riding with him. He's remembered often and my thoughts especially go out to the family.

Hi Guys,
I am not a biker but a friend of Sams. A few of us went up to see him in the cemetery last night. 1 Year exactly since the accident. Having read your posts today and the ones for a year ago, I am so impressed by the sense of family on this site. Sam was so lucky to have been part of such an amazing group of people. I know that he is up there tearing up the clouds. Not a day goes by when I don't think of him.
thank you for remembering him for something he loved doing.

Wow, shivers over my whole body as I read this thread. Huge respect to those on here who remember and show their support.
RIP Sam.
