I think that illustrates my point better than anything I could say.

they are 250 "L'' plate riders, yeah some think they know it all, but come on we know diffrerent, they will learn later on.
but it was a ride aimed at 250 riders and i told everyone to turn around as the weather was shit it poured, not rained pissed down. and i know the roads and was not interested in picking up a rider/s off the tar. they are bloody twisty and slippery it was not worth it. and when out with some "L"'s leaving the my balls are bigger than your at home is a good thing. i want them to have a good ride.
Not everyone there was an L plate rider some of us are quite close to getting full liscences etc, cheers for the lift on the big honda though T.I.E
edit: spb go rub your bike down or something...
I was told by tristan to post this here.
6th gear burn out on my cbr250rr one burn one tyre.
Muhammad AliOnly a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even.
and i gotta say its more of a challenge riding a 250 than a thou. riding a bigger bike is easier, easier to pass cars etc. i found it harder riding a 250 having to think more about what i can do/ or can't. trying to pull up hills etc.Originally Posted by N4CR
riding my cbr is way easier than my old 250 gpx, but i had more fun on that as it was a challenge.
but sorry it was not you guys i was worried about, hell you guys were fine. i was worried about the little man so to speak.Originally Posted by N4CR

I quite like riding a small bike, especially when up against larger ones, you have to work at it. On a big bike it's easy to use the power to compensate for lazy technique - not meaning any offence ot anyone, just that on a 250 if you mess the corner up and come out slow you really notice it and curse because it means laboriously picking up that speed again. Whereas on a 750 you just tweak the throttle a bit harder and think nothing of it.
And N4CR is correct that it was not a newbie ride - but on such a ride the organisers must assume that there will be some inexperienced riders , and decisions such as continuing in the rain must be based on the least skilled , not the most skilled or even the average. The rain call off was the right decision in the circumstances,

i have become very lazy on the thou. so i know what ya mean, maybe i should have taken up the offer to ride the 250.
