As some of you might know, I have a new bike, on Sunday some bastard pushed it over, I had already replaced the mirror and brake levers with new parts.
Spent 3 hours cleaning and polishing my bike last night.
Today, took it to work and parked it in my usual spot outside farmers on Vic Street, came out from work, and hello, there is a dent in the gas tank, every bit of right hand fairing is damaged, Muffler is dented and scratched, my new mirror and brake lever are all now scratched and my handle bar as well, all that and the seat is ripped! Add this to the broken indicator which does not go at all now I have had a shit week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and somewhere along the line, I broke my thumb, however, that comes secondary.
Was told by someone close by that apparently it was pushed over, picked up and then the wind blew it down, however with the placing of marks etc, it looks like it could be possible that another bike hit it?
Rang the police and they have had no one report it, and unlikely to do so!
Back to the question, is there something about a new bike attracting the concrete, was told it has to do with new bike magnetism, I think that this could be trueThanks white trash!
Anyway, almost to the point of almost crying, or throwing my helmet at the closest person, proceeding over to the nearest cage and kicking the crap out of it, I maintained myself. And now have to fork over the $900 in excess as this time I am going to claim insurance!
This sucks!![]()
Anyway, I am going to go and drown my sorrows!! (And I don't even drink) And if I can bare the shame of showing my bike in public I will be at Paul's BBQ tomorrow.![]()
I guess the question is, Why does this keep happening to me? In the space of 2 weeks this bike has cost me (apart from the original purchase price) well over $1000 dollars. And I thought my Kawasaki was expensive!
Suddenly feeling quite poor on my civil servent pay cheque, so donations to The Fix Sean's Bike Fund are always welcome![]()
