Exactly. Some positive ideas here. Why have similar suggestions always been rubbished as too difficult, too expensive, too impractical??Originally Posted by Ghost Lemur

Damn I'm both.....does that mean I'm twice as bad, or do two wrongs make a right?Originally Posted by Ghost Lemur
Yep.. its a bit ridiculous when people who learned to drive 60 years ago, when the traffic was like it was at that time. Refresher courses are a very good idea, and before people get to the age of 80 too....Originally Posted by Ghost Lemur

I think I found the cause! I had to go to a couple of malls on Anzac Day...this is where it all starts, totaly aimless wandering, not looking where they are going - no objective! random stopping for no reason, erratic lane changes, they are just not aware that there are others around them - transfer this into a car and onto our streets - duh, let's paint yellow lines and instal traffic lights in the malls.
If at all possible I don't go near a mall, and like to ride my bike out of the city.
In and out of jobs, running free
Waging war with society
so how do you determine the nationality of a stupid driver at over 150kmhr? Not surprising us antipodeans get lost on an autobahn given that we come from a 'speed kills' culture.
man, auto bahns sound great!
Personally i would be staying out of the fast lane on the autobahn, i dont want some Merc hitting me from behind at 250 kmh whill im doing 190![]()
I've been 300 odd kph down the autobahn - and the silly thing was - for all the speed references - I coulda been doing 100kph.....talk about designed for speed.
We need one of those between Auckland and Wellington - would almost make the trip a daily commute if you had the right tool.
Thats what the medium lane is forOriginally Posted by Two Smoker

I've noticed and thought the same thing. These people who can't even watch where they're going getting groceries and walking around a mall are put in charge of vehicles. It's scary. I'm actually as carefull in the supermarket as I am on the road, just because the last thing I want is to be blindsided while getting some milk.Originally Posted by Motu
LTSA not only considers us incompetent, but also killers and worse than vicous dogs according to their latest adverts. That makes well over 2 million vicous dog like killers in NZ. ( 1.3 million recipients of speeding tickets and those that got away with it).
But it has been publicly stated by the dickheads in charge that they are not in favour of advanced training because drivers would then get "overconfident"!!Originally Posted by Ghost Lemur

“- He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.”
But i hoon around the supermarket sliding the trolly around the aisles doing wheelstands with the trolly etc, but i dont act like a complete idiot on the road like i do in the supermarket hehehe.....Originally Posted by Ghost Lemur
And I'd like to see the HP doing somthing about the 'wankers' that cut the right hand corners on the open rd. These people realy piss me, I dont know about you guys though cos bikers are rather bad at it too.
Last weekend I did a ride up to Nelson for the night and I crapt me jocks twice cos of a car comming around the corner on my side of the rd and one prick towing a trailer dident see me passing him as he cut right over the line were I was...... not good![]()
And I always thought that road code adds on tv would do more than blood and guts does.
cheers DD
(Definately Dodgy)
I think maybee we have the right Idea with this driving being a corriculum activity at school.
Mind you Im keen for even more graduations being added to drivers licences.
I think a driver needs to prove they are actually conpitent to drive on the open road before they can venture off of suburban roads
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
