I get annoyed with banks. All over you like a Hallensteins suit when you're a prospect. But treat you like a three-day-old porridge sandwich once you become a customer. And then they wonder why customers churn. I wonder what could happen if they treated customers like people and invested their marketing budget on retaining current customers, rather than acquiring new ones?

I'm not fussed about the Rabobank ad.
So you make a deposit, big deal. You always lose interest on withdrawal.

Yep, and I hate paying 'bank fees' and higher than needed interest rates so banks can run crappy ads.
Antbody with a loan or money in the bank is a 'shareholder'

If I had money to keep, I'd keep it in the bank...but you miss my point.

If you deposit $1000 you can withdraw it later plus interest, the cost of advestising hasn't been deducted from you investment.

If you hate paying bank fees, simple...don't use a bank's services. Hide your money under your mattress (what was your address again?) and save the full purchase price of anything you want to buy to avoid getting a loan.

Just because you pay a fee to a company doesn't make you a shareholder, and the whole argument of advertising costs increasing fees is flawed too. If it cost a company more to advertise than the return that they got from that advertising...they just wouldn't do it.

    Horse shit it hasn't.

I was incensed when I came to the colonies to find out I had to pay the cunts for looking after my hard earned, whilst making money off it, and also to spend my own fuckin money!!

NZ banks are fuckin thieves, high lending rates and shit savings rates coupled with extortionate fees and account maintenance charges. Crock of shit.

If I could get paid into my UK account I fucken would, my bank manager over there is a top cunt, even if he is glaswegian.

banks are the thrid most outrageous ripoff artists in the country.

They get away with the shit they do because we ahve a totally f**ked economic system.

Credit should be used to improve living standards for all NZers, not to make more millions for overseas capitalists.

They're on the list for nationalisation.

You've kinda hit the nail on the head with this comment.

Interest rates are based on the OCR which is set by the Reserve Bank, you might have noticed that interest rates have been steadly increasing since Alan Bollard took over as the govenor as he can't think of any other way to control inflation so he hikes the OCR to try and slow the nations spending.
