Probably old news but I'd avoid the Neilson street and Union st intersection end of Union street in the center of the city in auckland for the next few days. About 4pm today there was a sizable diesel spill there and despite the council soposedly cleaning it up it'll still be slippery for quite awile.
If you're wanting to loop from the shore to the north western motorway I'd
head off at cook and straight up over neilson and right onto hobson st
