I have just removed a chipper mulcher from a purpose built trailer.
I was looking at it (see pics) and thought I might make a bike trailer out of it.
I think it lends it's self to a tilting channel that could be locked up into position when the bike is on and tilted (or pivoted) in order to take off / put on a bike. Saving the need for ramps etc.
Question is, what size channel (width x length) would I need for it to be a universal bike carrier?
It will only be big enough for one bike so it needs to be able to carry the largest of bikes.
The stick of ply laying along it is 7ft long.
I was just thinking of having it available for helping bikers in bother mainly. Any suggestions before I do anything else with it? Cheers John.
