I heard something about the sv thous, please remember that they will give you a letter if it is required here. A motherboard I have for one of my computers was recalled in a US lawsuit.. but not here. I had the same problem as the ones in the states but did not qualify as I was not there. So DO NOT notify the dealers, keep riding and wait for them to get to you... unlikely there will be a recall unless it's a big deal and heaps crap out over here.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WORTH BUYING? GET A SUZUKI AND YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE THING FALLING TO BITSOriginally Posted by White trash
Superbike Planet have re-released their press released....it reads as follows....
We here at Superbike Planet have made a grave mistake, or at least someone in our organisation has, the recall was in fact for all and every Winja ever made.
The manufacture's of Winja's have no choice but to recall these malfunctioning time wasters and erge everyone not to listen to the noise ommitted from all models as the pain barrier could easily be broken............![]()

Just found this. What a fuck up!
CPSC, Kawasaki Motors Corp. Announce Recall of all 06 ZX10 Motorcycles
WASHINGTON, D.C.- In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., of Irvine, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 8,000 motorcycles. This is due to major gearbox and crank bearing issues on these motorcycles.
CPSC and Kawasaki have not received any reports of injuries. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.
Consumers should stop using the motorcycles immediately. Owners should immediately return their motorcycle to a Kawasaki dealership for a free replacement. Due to the severity of the problem, owners may experience significant delays as we work through the replacement program. For more information, consumers should call their local dealership or Kawasaki at (866) 802-9381, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. PT Monday through Friday; or, go to the company's website at www.kawasaki-media.com.
I know for a fact kawasaki nz will lie to your face about factory recalls, we dealt with them problems in the kawasaki vulcan 1500. There was a recall in the states, if a problem occured, you roll your bike in to dealer the fix it free of charge and you ride away again. Here they said no such problem exsitied even when we prodvided them with the extact problem kawasaki jp reason for recall etc etc.
ALl you can do is wait for it annoced in the states, offically from kawasaki.
and then decide from there.
if you read it on the Inter-nut.. it must be true....
Elvis and i are having cocktails later...

Hoax. The companies media site is http://www.kawasaki.com/media. The link above does not work.Originally Posted by Finn

If this is true, its going to be a real arsehole of a thing. Imagine buying a brand new bike only to have it taken away.... Fingers crossed it doesn't apply to you TL
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
Kawa don't issue recalls on the 'media' side anyway.
The recalls bit is under the menu at the top: Owner Info / Recall Info
and even then, to find anything out is a mission..
