The bike had more in it, but not heaps more...the Gix would beat it.

If Jimbo set that kind of trap speed then the 216km/h or whatever I was reading that 2much's trap speed at the end of his 10.6 second quarter mile looks a bit sick in comparison.

One piece of info above has been slightly skewed (likely mistakenly)...and since I don't think I've ever seen a recorded trap speed in the 260 region for a 600 hundy, I'll vote for Jimbo's actual trap speed being much less.

The 'Blade actually storms to 240...but the acceleratin slows a bit after that. As above, I blame the lack of ram air, that shit really works.

I am not to familiar with your exhaust valve, does it have an elec motor controlling it? The reason i ask is I fitted a Muzzys slipon and PC3 well it had a counterweight which replaced the stock powervalve.Problems was that there was not enough resistance on the counterweight which told the puter to not run correctly.A screw inserted on one side of the counterweight and it was fixed. The Pc was matched to the slipon and it ran fine on the program that it came with but I was advised to get a custom map fitted. I did and it did make an improvement.

Hey Toast....I hope you dont mind me asking a question in your thread. I've bought 2much's end can off his old Triumph 600 & had it fitted yesterday. Now being a crappy old Honda with carbs etc....do I need to get it tuned for the can? After riding 2much's K3 Thou for a few hours,(Thanks Mark!) getting back on my bike was a step down but it had 91 petrol in it. I filled up with 98 when I got back and in about 10km it really improved. There's no backfiring and seems to be revving alot free-er. It sounds loud, deep & throaty. More like a thou than a 6 hundy. When I got home I checked it again and there's a leak around the flange. The motor makes a strange little noise at the start of a blip of the throttle. I'm sposed to be doing an east coast ride on Sunday & really dont want to blow my motor up. Will it be OK? I feel like I need an expert to check over it before I start to thrash it again. I've always thought that you shouldnt go fiddling if things are working. which is why Ive never changed the plugs or fiddled with it.

take it to mech kel...best you know for sure rather than get opinions off here...hard to fix a bike or diagnose a problem with out the bikes being present....

GOBLINif its just a leak where the flange meets the muffler you can usually seal it with a bit of roofing silicone on the sealing faces or in some cases ive just pulled the sealing ring out of an old oil filter and used that.
if its a swage your talking about you can also use roofing silicone in there.
make sure you use neutral cure silicone an the acetic cure can cause corrosion after time , leave over night to cure

Thanks WINJA... Wouldn't roofing silicone be affected by the heat? I might go buy some propper gasket stuff when the shops open again.

Poos, I dont think its worth starting a new thread. I'll just take it easy on Sunday & hope for the best.

hmmmm totally different bike... but I got a full arrow system on mine... and due to it being a carby its gutless below 3000rpm...

That's fine with me though cause you really gotta make her scream to do anything.
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

Yep, there is a little motor just under the seat that was controlling the valve. The motor is still there so I'm guessing it's still turning around at lower revs when the throttle is applied, but I keep forgetting to have a look under when I'm near the bike.

Never heard of this counterweight thing. Is this on your 636? Where is the valve on one of these? Is it in the mid pipe?
