To all those with damaged farings

Yes, that means you and you and you!

Seeing as we all have damage I am wondering what to do about it?
Bit of superglue or some plastic welding does the trick but what about a complete revamp? And decals and livery (livelry?) what to do with them?

I being nice and all was teaching some people how to ride, didn't do to well I guess, as one dropped my lovely bike and did some fairly decent damage to my rear quarter.

So......... it is time to give the old girl a going over.

Do ANY of you know where we can get livery (sticker dimensions or pics) so I can make some more? (gf is a graphic applicator, handy that huh?)

AND if I can get some livery that means I can make more than 1...... make your bike look flash and new anyone?

I usually get sheets of colored vinyl from a printers shop for fairing graphics, and cut them into the right shapes and stick them on myself. They have an adhesive side, so sticking is quite simple - just got to smooth out the air bubbles.

As for logos etc, I download images off the web and give them to the printers to tidy up and print off.

The printers shop I go to is:

They are quite reasonable with their pricing.

Yeah, im planning on doing the same but i want it to be as genuine as possible.
I have the manual in pdf format so i'm "magic wanding" the shapes that i can get so i can get them to the cutter, take a measurement off my bike and then scale the "magic wand path" up to the correct size.
Then the vinyl gets cut and i get all happy and anyone who wants some of their own i can help them out

But ideally i would like some help finding the livery (livelry) so genuine as possible is achieved.

One of Jamezo's friends got a bit trigger happy on my old CBRs throttle when I let him have a go. Straight into the gutter

To get my front fairing plastic welded and repainted cost $160. The fairing had a massive chunk missing and was in 2 pieces but it looked perfect afterwards. The original decals were in good condition so the panelbeater just masked over them and painted the rest of the fairing. When we got the tank dent repaired, a new Honda Wing decal was $38 and it was $10 for a signwriter to put it on

Thanks for the comments, sounds like your "situation" turned out all rosey Seeing as i have contributed earlier to some of my faring situation and the previous owners gravel surfing botches I feel it is time to do a complete revamp.... unfortunately being between jobs does not help matters. Hence my DIY approach that and you have to love your machine so it'll look after you in turn.
If i get lucky i'll buy a new set of farings (i think there is a bloke in aussy doing them)
