    Playing with the big boys

So, cut a long story short. There now sits a K1 Suzy GSX-R600 in my garage.

As luck would have it, the ride home after collecting it was in the rain and at night - not quite the best conditions. But in riding this bike home, and the test ride I had on it yesterday I am left with a grin from ear to ear.

Can't say too much as I have yet to have the chance to really ride it. Though the power that this thing puts out is amazing. I'm looking forward to taking it out tomorrow and getting more familiar with it.

Took a few pics when I got home, not the best but it gives one the idea.

Can relate to that! Though my "mint 600" is 17 years old! Gixxer looks good, hope it does everything you want.

Maha man, I'm interested in your opinions on the YZF, as they always get good reports in the States where it seems you can still buy them new. I've often considered updating to one. Did you get yours NZ new, or was it an import? It seems to be in genuinely mint condition, credit to the owner, unlike my old F which I confess to being rather grubby at times! Looks to have a more upright ride position than mine, too, and the exhaust pipe and muffler look identical to the F, though of course I have two of them, (exhaust pipes, that is...)

Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!

Looking good man, I wanna take it for a spin some time! Enjoy it but watch out for mr policeman and stop immediately when he raises his hand or tootles the horn sirens!

    EDIT:
Taken from a 1962 Honda Motor Cycle Instruction Book.
Translated by Honda for the American Motorcycle Rider.

The following rules for motorists are so successful in Japan, that American motorcycle riders might profitably paste them in their hats.

    1. At the rise of the hand by Policeman, stop rapidly. Do not pass him by or otherwise disrespect him.

    2. When a passenger of the foot, hooves in sight, tootel the horn trumpet melodiously at first. If he still obstacles your passage, tootel him with vigor and express by word of mouth, warning Hi, Hi.

    3. Beware of the wandering horse that he shall not take fright as you pass him. Do not explode the exhaust box at him. Go soothingly by.

    4. Give big space to the festive dog that makes sport in roadway. Avoid entanglement of dog with wheel spokes.

    5. Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon. Press the brake foot as you roll around the corners, and save the collapse and tie up.
