Hey what.. You, Jimmie the lad! What's this 'new bike' comment - and I see you've already changed your profile. This calls for a new thread after you've sampled the goodies today.

The 'injustices' have been well documented here and anywhere else where the topic occurs - so don't ask me to restate them...........
You are obviously in denial. And so would I want to be in that state if I had your job.

No, you have missed the point, what injustices have been personaly perpetrated by MYSELF? Or do you have the 'shotgun' approach - Constable X perpetrated an 'injustice, ergo ALL cops have done likewise?

Sort of like me catching you stealing/speeding or whatever and labeling all in you occupation as thieves, speeder or whatever...

i agree with your bitch, i think its where you live, for on the auckland high way they say its a 100 zone but you get yelled at and given the fingers if you do, the cops dont do much if everyone is going the same speed
and if this useless government thought about it, having a high way that remains at 100 is better then 80 here and 100 here and so on i mean come on these cars are built to handle alot more then what they allowing us to do even my cop mate said that if we did main high ways like fly overs so you could do a 100 all the way none stop to auckland would be better then going through little towns you didnt need to go through if you wanted to go to that town then go on the off ramp. its that simple really.
and you would save on gas.
QUOTE=MD]What the hell. I'm too scared to venture to my letter box for fear of a laser beam through the eyes. Never seen so many Police on the roads as this weekend. You'd think there was something special on! The HP weapon of choice is definitely the laser. They're pinging heaps of motorists.
Helen's going to be rubbing her hands with joy as she counts the weekend's tax takings on Tuesday.
I got stung just minding my own business cruising along the motorway with cars all around me. The detector went off but that's no help against laser anyway. The truth was that when I saw him I thought I was going slow enough not to warrant his attention and when he jumped on his bike, I thought he would pull the car beside me- so did the car because he started to pull over on to the shoulder then changed his mind! I should have tried that.
I questioned how Mr Plod managed to pick a small bike out amongst about 6 larger vehicles all moving along in a tight block at the same speed. Sadly for me it was above 100kph. It's about now I had better apologise for my heinous crime. I know we've heard about some despicable crimes of late on the news but this will top the lot. Go ahead and hate me for it. 115kph on a dual lane motorway, not overtaking, dry conditions, good visibility (well obviously not good enough to spot a parked bike over a rise). Yep, I know I should be castrated, boiled in oil, hung drawn and quartered and sent to a leper colony. Luckily they never found my concealed baton and jar of vasiline (vasalene?).
He asked 'what have I learned from this' - a long moment of silence followed. I wanted to say 'that you are an arsehole' but that wouldn't have been constructive to our already failing relationship.
I know the laws the law and I accept it was all me me me that got the ticket but shit a brick 115 on a quiet stretch of straight m/w and I'm made to feel like a crim. No wonder more people are doing runners.
Another whinge. When did the highway from Whitby to Pautahanui roundabout get lowered from 100kph to 80 kph? That's a great piece of perfect curvy seal that can actually be enjoyed at 100. Now with the stroke of a pen we've become crims if we do the speed that's been deemed safe for decades.
    Sigh, that feels better now.
Hope the rest of you stay out of trouble.[/QUOTE]

Yeah, you're probably right. I can not know that you PERSONALLY are guilty of perpetuating injusices even though your position requires that logic is not allowed to prevail, thus injustices will occur.

It's like I wrote earlier. Cops are a bit like lawyers - 99% give the others a bad name.

PS: Actually if what you write is correct SD I should say you are in the 1% bracket.
