    Get into it!

Hi all, new female to the website with my very first bike! Just wanted to mention, having seen some similar posts about females not letting the guys do their thing, because they may not be into bikes I had been scared off bikes by idiots that threw me on the bike and scared the
#@$%$##! out of me, any never thought I would ever own my own bike. Then I met Madandy (my partner) and he re-introduced me to the wonderful world of bikes as a pillion once again. A couple of weeks ago we par-took in the Coromandel run with Death and Draco etc. Well, what a great day. We were the only 2-up there, and I came home with the biggest grin on my face, locked myself away with the bike trader, and couldn't wait to get me a bike! Thanks guys! (everyone who went to the Coromandel!)
I have just bought a bike, and we are doing a full re-build on her so I can learn lots, and then I am keen to get out there.

I can totally relate to being put off by an idiot, I had someone do a wheelie ( unexpectedly with me as pillion at speed, I was put off going pillion forever, but that gives me my excuse for having my own bike, neva going pillion!! good on ya, and double good on ya for being involved with the intrcate workings of your bike, I like to know exactly what is going on with my machine, and wouldn't want to just leave it to the experts entirely!!

Nice to hear you've have joined the darkside and got a 250. Pity about some fool putting you off when he had you as a pillion i hate it when people do that unless i no they are going to. I try to be a sane rider when i have a pillion.

my wife, hads not having control when on the road, she hads sitting in car with other people driving same with other peoples riding, so she rides herself, that does not worry me so i don't have to worry about carrying passegers, and so can get the bike up for how i want it to handle and not have to worry about passagers ever.

But welcome Shazuki again, i gave madandy a bit of info this morning, and we have to sort out a time i will come around give ya new baby a look at

Hi & welcome to KB Shaz!

You have the up on most people in here having already met a number of the members on the Coro loop before even joining the site yourself!

Have safe fun on your new machine. The '89 GSXR250 was my first 250 too. Upgraded to a '92 GSXR750 6 months later but...

It was nice to meet you and Andy (in Bay Ride) today. You'll have a blast here, everyone is a great help.

We did'nt buy anything from Bayride...instead went to Macs upholstery for a new seat for the gixxer and learnt they were your outlws, Cajun!!!!
They, Mac & you Sisnlaw, sent us to see Brian on Durham street bike shop where we spent up large, booked in for a new rear tyre for Andy's 400 and learnt enough from him(Brian) not to have to tear down the engine...Compression tested the engine at home and all pots were identical to one another
The engine is out on the work bench fully degreased and shiny!
What we did find though was the magnetic stuff around the armature(?) on the flywheel was broken and probably caused a low current for the ignition?
