    A real stayer!

Wow Crasherfromwayback, you sure are a stayer.
You came on in out of the cold, accidentally pooed the bed, weathered the storm and looks like you are now coming up smelling of roses.(well perhaps racing fuel)
Well done, I am impressed Cheers John.

Um? Whats this thread about? I read it all and I'm still not sure?

BTW - I'm NOT a real motorcycle enthusiast. I'm a complete and utter fake! I sold a genuinely collectable bike to fund Vickis engagement ring 28 years ago and sold other bikes to finance family stuff. I even tried to get interested in Classic cars (still am actually). I'd sell the lot if she asked me! (I'd try and talk her out of it of course)

I like going on holidays in the car and I've been know to deliberately shun other motorcyclists because I don't have much in common with them and my experiences are in the past, not the future.

I walk into most bike shops and stare blankly at most modern bikes and no blood races or breath quickens.. nada, zip. (I like buying tyres, batteries and stuff from WMC though - I bought 4 last year and 2 so far this year) and every time I get a bit of dough together I by increasingly desperate old wrecks for too much $ that could easily purchase a new Suzuki.

However, I will admit to being enthusiastic about real motorcycles and owning a very impressive pile of classic bike magzines. I'm so old I own genuine Stadium MkVII's that I bought new and used.

It's called trolling. Happens quite often.

Edit-It's an art form obnoxious old cunts learn at quite an early stage when exposed to internet forums.

I bet there are more than a few people who's passion for their families or friends comes before their bikes. Are these people not hard-core enough to be on this site? Or those who got into biking at an older age and are discovering the thrill and freedom of riding in a different manner to those who got into it young? Or those who don't think it's cool to fall off a bike - are they not bikers either?

All interesting considering your earlier quote "we're all family"

No. He was ASKED what HIS deffinition of a real biker was. Crasher gave it. If you don't like that deffinition, come up with your own.

Mine is this: Someone who can get 'round Manfeid on an 883 Harley in one minute, nineteen seconds. Or better, one minute sixteen on a 250cc production bike.

Can't do that? Not a real biker. Sorry.

(Stop looking for things to get bent outta shape over and go for a ride will ya?)

Whilst I fully realise it is the internet, it's the fact that some of these so called 'Kiwi Bikers' are so quick to judge and condem a fellow? biker for an honest and well meaning era of judgement and timing.

They are the ones that are yet to learn what it is to be a true biker.
Some, by the sound of it, will never grasp it.
For god's sake, let it go!

Sheeit! I thought a VN was some kind of Holden Dunnydore?

Real motorcyclist? I'm one and defy anybody to tell me different.
Hell, I wear a tassled leather jacket, a skull mask and ride a H-D, drink Grants 100 percent Scotch, how much more hard-core can you be?
