    eek Accident barely avoided

Ya would have thought, just another day... well thats what I was thinking, as I left home, followed a undercover police car out of Waitara.. then I take the 3 mile junction turn off onto HW3a (Mountain road) heading towards inglewood.

Friendly wave to another motorcyclist whom I pass nearly every day (though I see he's disconnected his headlight.. as he's been having trouble with his electrics..) slow down and cruise through inglewood following a car, with another SUV following me. SO far all good. just another normal day. Heading out of inglewood, we see a truck and trailer unit (16 wheeler) up ahead 20-40metres or so, already on the left hand side of the passing lane, I pass the car easily, leave my indicator going because I intend on passing the truck also, I see a Milk tanker coming towards us, and I reckon I'll be in the middle of both trucks and all the air wash and spray, so I stick to the left abit.. and then as idiotic fucktard pulls out and passes the milk tanker.. with me frantically flashing the fucktard as I'm already alongside the trailer unit, I inch as close to the trailer as I could.. and I'm imagining me being somersaulted through the air, my loverly TL1000 doing the same thing.. and then me and bike being crushed by the 16 wheeler... I'm watching the guy continue pass the milk tanker.. he doesn't even flinch or anything as he's 4 inchs (which appears to be 1 inch to me) away from me... that close to ending my life.. and more than likely causing a major accident involving the two trucks...

I considered briefly of turning around and chasing and bashing them.. I was very hot under the collar for about 20 seconds.. before the realisation that they didn't even see me when I flashed my lights, and prolly didn't even notice the flash of red (my bike) between him and truck...

If I had been caning it, I wouldn't have stuck to the left of the road passing the truck.. luckily for me, I was being a nana and riding defensively.

    anyway.. rant over..

Pleased you managed to hold your nerve and snuggle in next to the 16 wheeler or else by the sounds of it you wouldnt be around.
Are you off to get a lotto ticket or perhaps say thanks to someone looking after you

Man that sounds close. There's some right little anuses out there for sure.

I've taken to riding in the day with full beam lately, for that very reason.

Whew....a more common scenario than you would think. Lucky your skills were up to the job!!
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Often times the victim doesnt get the plate number tho, Im a linehaul truckie and have losssa 45cent charges on my celly bill each month from dobbing in motorists like that.

I get the same thing time after time on my bike (as I ride 90 km a day to and from work), so many motorists either dont see me comming or dont want to see me LOL ... maybe they just think cos were a bike we will get outa the way.
Been soooo tempted to chase them a few times too if only to get the rego.

I told boss I wanna have a sign made to put on end of my trailor.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to get their number plate.. unless I turned around and chased them down.. where I doubt I'd have just left it to getting the plate.. something about trying to kill me would have gotten in the way of my better judgement.

Cheers people for the comments... I'd say thats the closest I've been... (though in saying that, I wondering if I should tell my partner.. she'd have a ballistic rant I'm sure =)

Sometimes it's good to ride like a Nana even with all that grunt. Good to see you came out unscathed and able to carry on your way.
