Doing up the ZXR...

haha Sam wishes In all honesty, i'd love to give her my ZXR when I upgrade. But unfortunatley, I need to sell on money to help fund the 600. Once the ZXR is fixed I'm hoping to get about $5000+ for it. I know its been written off, but that was not justifiable given the small amount of damage.

You take off the stuff like, brake discs (normal wear and tear), oil, spark plugs, paint job, insurance, aftermarket bolts n stuff... and really the repairs only come to about $1500, and ALL of it is cosmetic.

Also with the aftermarket parts on the ZXR like full pipe and header system, quarter turn throttle, braided brake lines, rev limiter etc I'm really hoping to get closer to $6K for it. Which means I should only have to save another $2-3K for my 600...

At the moment Sam is saving for a cage, she'd love a bike, but she already got one for free from me, but as mentioned this time I need it to get my bigger bike

lol shes already hassling me about it and nagging to take it for rides when I get it back

I was meant to be getting the ZXR back on Friday. But apparantly the mechanic I'm using can't source any brake discs in Auckland or whatever, so he has had to order them from overseas. He said they should arrive late next week or early the week after... so more waiting now...

Glad to hear you arn't sourcing your discs from that wanker down in Waihi.

Also good to hear that the ZXR is almost about finished, would be good to see what it looks like once it's all done. A gotta disagree with you saying a new paintjob is merely for bling, I guarantee that a decent paint job will help so much when it comes to selling it. People really go for appearance and take that as a reflection of what the rest of the bike is like. Most, especially new comers.

Um... Just a quicker take off and more sensitive control I guess... I'm not too sure to be honest. It is easier on the wrist too when on long rides, you don't have to twist your wrist so far to get the bike moving...

ZXR parts arn't cheap aye... Just called up for a quote on the ZXR hoses and they are $65 EACH... what a rip off... so I have ordered one lol

Finally!!!!!

I see you still have my intermediate paint job on the top fairing. Oh and the hoses can be bought from somewhere else. Just can't recall where.
