hehe, i got my zxr as a wreak almost, but its now reged and wof which is great, but im happy i got my zxr250 running properly and only spent 2500 inc the bike itself and reg and wof fees

but i might be getting a new clutch lever, mines ok, but lost the thread inside almost, but the cable still sits nicely in there but can't adjust really, not to sure if its good for yours or not?

Good work, zxr's are heaps of fun to play with, ive had a ball with replacing all the gears in mine

Placidfemme...mate of mine brings in sets of fairings from overseas. He was selling some VFR ones for around $1200 or $1400 or something like that...all painted...and I'm fairly sure they had all of the decals on them too.

Seems a pretty good price to me...especially since my CBR250R once got priced up with $5k of plastic damage and it was still well rideable.

I'm not 100% sure, but he should be able to bring in some ZXR250 ones.

PM me if you want me to ask him.

    Cheers.

Thanks for that, but I only really need a new front faring. Just Farings in Hamilton can send me one for $350, but thier website says $250. Other than that the other farings only have scratches and some cracks in them... nothing a little plastic welding can't fix...

Edit: Oh and the newest problem I've come up with now, is before I wrote the ZXR off I brought an aftermarket blue screen for the ZXR, which turns out great because the original screen is broken... however, the holes in the new screen that you put the screw through, is too small... and I'm not too sure how to make it bigger without risking cracking or damaging the new screen...

Saturday morning should be fine I'll be home. So I'm assuming you have a steel cutting drill bit? I brought some dumb ass drill/sander thingy from Mitre10 and it doesn't help at all... waste of $83

Send me a text when your coming by just to confirm that we are home

The old oil was green but otherwise all is good, didn't need to end up cleaning the carbs...

Oh... Affman, when your looking at coming over next, are you gonna bring your welding thingy so we can look at fixing the cracks in the farings... also have you had a look further into the crash knobs and the cowl?

I'm still keen on getting those parts added on before i look at getting the bike painted... let me know

I ordered the fairing today, guy said he would be making it this week and it should arrive at my place on Monday afternoon... as for the instruments the auction only closes on thursday, so again they should arrive about Mon/Tue if the guy posts it right away...

Anything else I need to get? Brake fluid? Just let me know

    Go do some work....

Oh and well I could come out this weekend probably but only if there is a bit I need to do.As for crash bungs will have to see where they can be mounted. As for the cowl will need to get some cheap custom wood or something to make a mold of it that we can fibreglass.

You proberly won't need to come over this weekend, the fairing and instruments will only arrive next week. All that needs to be done for now is to bolt everything back on, no point putting the side fairings back on until they are fixed, and possibly cut for the crash knobs.

I'll also get a new clutch lever if I remember *adds another sticky note to my PC*

Do you think I should get a new lower cowl thing for between the lower farings, or do you think we can fix the cracked one?

Edit: I am working... just not very hard

Oh and I turned the fuel off so you'll need to turn it on when you do it then off again after.
