Ok... well just gone and brought a new (well second hand) front sub frame, slightly bent but not broken in two like my one... Also got a new (second hand) bracket for the gear lever and footpeg... and a replacement clutch lever, not in the best condition, but better than the one on the bike...

Front/Top Fairing should arrive on Monday, and hopefully the instruments should arrive next week too...

Yeah hopefully, given that the bike is running now, and I have most of the parts needed already and the rest pretty much in the post, the bike will be all in one piece and in running order within 3 weeks I'd imagine.

Then I just need to get the special add-ons (Crash knobs and cowl) then get the bike complied, WOF'd and re-registered and we're all good to go... the last thing on the list is a paint job So given the amount of the above and what I'm earning right now, It should be road legal and ready to ride in about a month or two

Kewl... I should have everything by Monday. I've asked that guy on TradeMe to remove my bid, talking to the guys at the wrecking place they advised me not to buy the instruments because they are "A" model ones, and don't work so well with the "C" model, as well as not fitting correctly on the "C" model subframe.

So I'm going in there again on Thurs/Fri to pick up some "C" model instruments. Which works out good because the K's are in the 20,000 range, so I won't need to turn the clock back, and they look better than "A" model ones. Theres just a dent in the thermo instrument, but we can always swap that with my perfect thermo one off the old instruments... or just leave it because it still works...

*is getting all excited about riding again... I havn't been on a bike since dec 05*

lol, sweet, if anything happens... I get a Gixxer 600

Um... what about the brakes? We still need to find the leak in the front brakes, fix it, put in more brake fluid or bleed the brakes or whatever order that goes in... let me know what type of fluid to get and how much of it to get... or anything else that we may need to sort that out...

Have you thought more on the crash knobs? And in regards to the cowl... where can I get that special wood or whatever? (I know... it's not needed... but you know me)

Lets just get the bike legal and on the road... then we can worry about all the fancy bling bits.

Don't forget to reinstall the 'white smoke' in the front wheel hub....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Well, I don't know if this is a problem or not...

But since the fairings are off the bike and I'm starting it up every second to third day and leaving it to run for about 15 minutes, I've noticed that the fan behaind the radiator doesn't spin...

Is it meant to spin or only when the bike is moving or over heats?

Also: Affman: Seeing as I've got that new engine cover and we may need to change the oil again when putting it on... 2 things:

    1. Do you think I should get some type of engine flush? I've been told that I should get one, drain the oil, put the flush stuff in and let it run for about 20 minutes, then drain the flush and put in new oil... What do you think? And if you think its a good idea, any suggestions on what type of flush to get and where can I get it from?

    2. If we are going to have to change the oil, should I buy a new oil filter as we didn't change that last time?
