Ok well got my blue anodised bolts yesterday as I didn't get enough the first time I went to get some...

Also checked the ZXR250 brackets against the ZXR400, and they are slightly smaller, so a ZXR400 rearset won't fit a ZXR250. No problem though, I've found a place that will custom build me a anodised blue (or gold... havn't decided yet) fully adjustable rearset for the ZXR. A bit pricy but its the only option I can find...

Just waiting to find out what I'm getting paid today, if I get enough I'll be sending in the ZXR to get the fork seals and oil replaced, will also get them to check my headlight (as mentioned before... no low beam, just high beam) and also to check my front break as it is still leaking.

I've also got a number for a guy that checks pipes and does servicing and cleaning for them, as when we got the ZXR started and we were revving the bike a black seal (rubber thingy) flew out the exhaust. The pipe still sounds the same, but still want to get it checked out. Will also see if that guy can polish up my header pipes while he's at it...

But one thing at a time
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

Blimey this is going to be a pretty special piece of kit when its finished. It'll probably end up in Te Papa alongside that other pink and purple bike they have there. Good on yah

lol but it won't be as fast as the pink/purple one

Yeah it going to be a bit of a project, but as mentioned before I got the bike back for free, so I can spend the value of the bike on the bike building it up and not really make a loss. Also being a fan of the ZXR and pretty bling bling looking objects, I think it would be a cool project.

Plus, the more i do it up, the more the selling price will be (not something stupid like anything over $6K) but it will help me fund my 600 lol which will proberly turn into a project bike too, but my 600 will have 10 times more work and effort put into it as it will be the bike i'll be riding for a few years to come... and I like it when people personalize thier bikes... as long as I'm happy with the finished project I don't mind the $$ spent on it

ZXR Update: Ok, well the bike is being picked up on Saturday to have the fork seals and oil replaced. I still couldn't get the oil drain bolt out, so they will drain the oil, change the oil filter and engine cover and gasget while they have the bike (I'll only be paying for labour for the oil parts as I will be supplying the parts to them). They will also check out the headlight, and the front brake.

So if all goes well and I get paid enough this week I'll have the bike back hby next Tuesday I assume.

Once all that is done, then I'll just need to start saving for the brake dics's. Once I've got those then I get the bike Complied and registered... then worry about all the other cosmetic bits

Could be slightly off topic, but I'm trying to find a nice performance exhaust system for my ZXR250A (C Model Engine). I like the Carbon Fiber look.

Am also in the market for a nice tinted front screen. If someone could point me in the right direction that'd be most appreciated.

Well... as for the exhaust, I'd suggest speaking to a bike shop and seeing what is compatible with your bike, then shop around a few bike shops and on Trade Me until you find one for the right price...

As for the tinited screens, there is a guy selling ZXR250A Screens on TradeMe... just type in the search "ZXR" and it'll poop up...

ZXR Update Ok, well the guys from the bike shop didn't come over on Saturday to pick the bike up... They are going to pick the bike up today...

ZXR Update Ok, well they came to pick the bike up last night. So I should hear by the end of today what the qoute will be to do the fork seals and oil, change the oil, oil filter and engine cover/gasget.

They will also be checking the headlight and front brake. They are also going to do a qoute for me on getting crash bars/bungs, frame slider, whatever its called.

    Hopefully its not too expensive
