Wherever suits me and where it won't get scratched by the public, footpaths are usually my weapon of choice though, as long as it don't block flow etc on busier ones.

Cheekiest place... in the hallway of my house, while the rear shock pissed oil onto the tiles. Mum never could figure out how it got there (were in USA at the time). :

I used to park between cars in the 90's when it was more common. Wouldn't do it anymore, people have less respect now and would probably hit ya bike on pupose! I now try for footpaths etc out of the way.

I got a $1095 parking ticket once, for parking on a person.

Must be at the good old shithole mall called Southcity *wink

parking for me at work is sweet. I just park in the basement between the pillars or normally cage drivers are so stupid that they dont realise that there is 3 parks between 2 sets of pillars, not just one or two

in town, i park in seldom used bike park a block away from town [the town bike parks are usually jammed with scooters and bitches to get out of]
have occasionally parked in a car park, if ive got a load on the back and going to a specific shop, where i can see everything. if i am using a whole park and going to be there for a little while, i will feed the meter. also make sure i reverse in and then roll the bike forward so a bit of the front wheel sticks out enough for cagers to see it and not assume its empty.
have parked on a footpath once, when it was raining and there nearest park was a block away. but i made sure she was pulled as far off the actual path as possible and right out of the way.

i do use bike parks whenever i can....but if not, i try and keep it legal as possible

Heh heh... a few weeks ago, I was waiting outside the pharmacy for a prescription. It was rather amusing to see all the car drivers who thought where my bike was parked (beside a van or summat) was an empty space.
Indicator on, pleased look, read to turn in --> recognition --> grumpy look + the occasional mouthed obscenity.
I park all sorts of places. Footapth, car park, some odd little corner, whatever. Play it by ear.
It was handy on Sunday in Paihia to find a strange little non-park next to a disabled park, and right outside a cafe that was two doors down from the photographic shop I was going to. Parked the bike and all our gear in the non-park, then sat and had a coffee and cake without having to worry about all our stuff.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Footpaths as a rule. Followed by empty carparks.

At work and a few other places i just ride it right inside the building and park it in the smoko room. Gives people somthing to talk about

Under the C Block sign inbetween the gardens

Brought a parking permit for the car @ uni (b4 i got my bike). Took my bike in and parked it in the carpark. Got ticked off for doing so. Apparently motorbikes are not allowed to park in the carpark as it's just for CARS. Must park my bike in the bike park outside the main entrance of the main campus (uphill and about 4 blocks away). Hmmmm ......

I park in as many stupid annoying places as i can find (that you can't get towed for).

What other ways do you guys park?

Got handy handy CCTV covered, barb-wire fenced parking down the back of work. Good thing too, being as I don't finish work until midnight on weekdays

If I'm in auckland CBD then I usually park in the underground civic centre park, always loads of room, and plenty of other people around.

Anywhere else, usually outside the entrance to where I'm going

Yeah I guess it depends ay, if I'm out and about I sneak in the underground-secure-fancy-sexy carparks, otherwise on the footpath out of the way with the griplock.

1st choice = work car park. Only 1 place I worked didn't like this (but they eventually saw it my way)
2nd choice = bike parks (I work up the end of town with limited numbers of scooters)
3rd choice = somewhere there are no cars!
