A reply to a letter sent by a member of my SV site.

    Good morning

I’m Glenn Hansen, the Communications Manager for American Suzuki. You recently sent a letter to Marty Haynes, and he forwarded it to me. Mr. Haynes works mostly with our Auto Division.

I am glad to get your letter, and I will take the time to register, hopefully this weekend. I’m traveling to the AMA Superbike race at RoadAmerica. But I will address your concerns about the SV. Have no fear, we have no immediate plans to eliminate this model from our lineup. I can’t divulge specific plans about the 2007 model lineup of motorcycles, but the SV’s future is not bleak, as was rumored by a gentleman from England. Of course, I can’t speak specifically about product sold for the U.K. market, but for American consumers, the SV’s future is good.

Our Dealer Meeting is scheduled for late September, and I can tell you more about the product line then. But you should not fear the SV’s future.

Keep in touch, and I hope we can help each other in the near future.

Thats great , perhaps upside down forks , more rounded styling , slightly more aggressive steering geometry and an uprated engine
That would be the 97 TL then ?

funny how people always mention the TLs suspenders...yes it was crap but very easy to fix..new fork springs and an ohlins/bitubo out back and it handles great. If they are going to carry on with the SV then i can only pray they do something with the looks...that is one of the ugliest bikes ever built imho.

ITS SO UGLY AND THEN HONDA COPY IT WITH THE NEW CBR1000RR.
I LIKE THE TLS AND TLR NOT A FAST BIKE BUT A FUN BIKE WITH A GOOD SOUND , I THOUGHT THE HANDLING ON A STOCK TLR WAS OKAYISH, WAS SUPRISED HOW MUCH BETTER IT REVED THAN THE VTR
