nope - it's standard on the dirt only DRZ400 (the non-electric start model)
the bike is not road registerable in shipped form - so no pollution issues with the carb.
did all the research - it's a 39mm FCR with TPS.
it's also the best price for a pre-jetted FCR that i could find.

I'd really prefer a 600 but I couldn't be bothered stuffing around converting an XR or similar, I like the convenience of an off the shelf model.

I'll send you a PM if I end up heading down to Wgtn for a demo.
if you do get down here, I own a full spec off road version you're welcome to ride as a comparison after the SM.

Sadly they will be a tad out of my price range. If I win lotto any time soon I'll be signing up for one of those Ducati mega-motards or whatever the hell they call them.

Thanks all for the advice. I'll try and get a demo on one soon and see what happens.

Spud, add the Yamaha XT660X to your list. The 'tard version of the latest XT660, which is injected.
Rode the trail version (XT660) round the block the other day, definately a nice amount of poke on the road!

If you want a bit more go there's a tidy looking silver 03 KTM 640 SM in bike mart for 8-something (the ad says 610 but there is no such thing) It'll wheelie off the throttle in 1st, add a better pipe & a rejet for 2nd gear power wheelies. Slightly heavier than the DRZ but better suspension & much more comfortable.

    Motards are big fun.

    Cheers

hey clint - i owned a 2002 supermoto KTM and the DRZ has easily as good suspension. the front is from the RMZ and the rear is fully ajustable.
i know the KTM is WP, but don't dismiss the shocks on the DRZSM.
