Gotta get me eyes checked! Thought yer wrote "desperate" for a minute! Well done, anyways! Lived in Taupo for ten years, 1980-90, still got friends there. Hope to get down on my bike sometime. If'n I run outta gas, can I call you?
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.

If you come down give me a call, there's a few down here keen for a ride and we will supervise your filling up at the gas station to be sure you make it back!

Seriously tho' some great rides down here and I'm usually keen unless it's "persisting" down...I'm a Nana when it comes to getting wet...

I was returning from a job in Taupo some time ago.Instead of turning off to go through Mokau,I carried on up highway one to get some honey from the honey farm and then turned west just before atiamuri. But I made a wrong turn and missed the road to get back to SH 30 and ran out of gas somewhere back near Mokau.I went up a farmers drive and he sold me some gas.He thought I would be pushing it to get to Mangakino before the gas station closed, but I made it with a few minutes to spare.
I've run out in the king country so many times.
    I'll never learn.

Hahaha - that area is my main stamping ground for misbehaving Paul. I'll lay out some string so that you guys from north of the Bombays can find your way around (Only joking, hehe)

Cool, I have new bars.....not quite the same as a new bike but hey, I take what I can when the purse is open! Sounds like a good idea Tony.
