The weather pretty much stuffed up our plans for a ride to Taupo today so I decided to head over anyway ...... in the car. If any of you guys rode over the Napier to Taupo today all I can say is you are a bloody legend. Between dodging the waterfalls and trees taking up part of what is normally road, it was quite an interesting trip. There was some good racing to be seen so it was worth the trip over. Have to say it's a shit of a road in weather like that though.
Just a word of warning for anyone heading that way in the next few days. There has been a few slips due to the heavy rain so take it easy.
