    Blokes evading work- Mondayitis

Hope those of you that went to work today had a great time - NOT . Thanks to Jimbos suggestion (see-'Monday ride' under Meetings threads) Some of us escaped the rat-race for a blat to Castlepoint. Today might be the last dry day all week, so we made the most of it.
Pic 1 the mandatory bikes lined up at the top of the hill. Deano especially cleaned the Repsol for this shot.
Pic 2 MD, Jimbo and Tazman cooling down after a quick swim - really it was just sooo fine over there.
Got to swap bikes with Jimbo so I can tell you the new Gix600 is a tidy piece of kit. Not sure if Jimbo will every let me near it again. I couldn't resist giving it the berries through some fast S bends. Awesome front brake would stop a herd of elephants.
Similar is size, weight and feel to my 636. Modern bikes hey, how can we resist em!
    Thanks Guys, great escape.
    MD

Nice work MD. Surprised you didn't tear off on my bike on one wheel mate. Great day. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Should make it a weekly if not then monthly thing. Less cars on the Castlepoint road.

Good point, I owe you a wheelie buzzing. Why do you think I was trying to get ahead of you! what you don't see can't hurt you.
Some masked madman blew passed me on one wheel. Whoever he was it was good to see him pulling wheelies on a new bike without needing to clutch it up.

"Deano especially cleaned the Repsol for this shot."

That's definitely something you don't see every day... it clean.

So what y'all think about a first Monday in every month day off ride? Bit of a blokes period day?

MD you been to the sprints on that 636? Reckon it would post a pretty mean time. Can see why they test it up against 750's.

See ya in September then mate.. and we can do it all again in November. It's a bit of fun.

Shit yeah Jimbo, I'll be giving it a go on the 636. Hard bugger the 636 to get a good launch on though. The Blade's front end weight bias made it a good one for sprints. Mine, Deano's and Aaron's CBRs all did bloody well for first timers.
Do your runs early in the morning seems to help.
