    Riverhead Trailride

Damn good ride at riverhead today so slippery and wet just the way i like it. Little traction makes for a proper challenge. the "A" split was the better half more one wheel out of corner action and less of the so slippery the front wheel is having epi fits, rear wheel sliding action.
Passed a couple of guys on Suzukis on my first lap slow but polite enough to let me pass and one was wearing a road helmet, poor bugger must of had a hard time keeping cool a the breathing would of heinous. Passed them again (while they were still on lap number1) on my second lap on the B section road helmet guy was stuck on roots and goin no where couldnt get past without crushing guys leg so jus sat there and waited for his mate to help him out, would of done it myself but finding a place to put my bike is an arsehole of a job especially with no stand.

Had KTM on my tail so i let loose a little and lost him for a bit but pulled over during a road section to let him pass since he seemed to better able to keep a consistent fast pace then i can.

Those bridges are scary in the wet and took a lot of care cause when i had my KDX i gassed it hard and almost had a dramatic change of sport to jetskiing.

GasGas performed dam good but came off in section A and flew into gorse.....ouch, and my plastic got loose yet again.

Dam good ride put on by Waitemata Motorcycle Club and was the last of the riverhead rides till next summer.

Went to Woodhill on Sat, wasnt even aware the riverhead ride was on otherwise I would have waited for that! Woodhill was good with all the rain recently, and with the grading they have done a lot of the whoops at the start of the trails were gone. Not many punters out either, which was good, but just as we were leaving an ambo turned up for a guy down on the beach which was not so good. Dunno what happened to the guy but hopefully he's not too bad.

Sounds like you had a good day at Riverhead, its a shame that its the last one till next summer, I've only done one of the rides there but thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was at Woodhill on Saturday
I was going to try the Saturday scamble series but it was postponed.

Ended up a good day with the sand packed down with the rain.

    Some BIG puddles!

Ambo may have been for a surfer as I saw alot of them out there,
when I went for a ride along the beach.

Whos going to the Saturday scramble this weekend?
