Short of cash? Dont know why?

So Ive done 10,000kms on my new bike since Feb 14th. Thats a bit over two months. I get about 240kms out of a tank and it costs me about $24 to fill up. Nothing weird there. Thats 10c/km.

10,000kms/10c/km...thats a $1000 spent on gas in the last two months.

    FARK!!!

Now I know where all my bloody cash is going.

I've spent that on rugby and I'm not even playing...

As long as your doing something work related you can claim it back can't you?

Yeah, came to the same realisation this morning. I have enough money to pay the phone/internet OR the power/gas.

Don't get paid for.. Too long.

Damn wish I got that a tank.

Mines $20 to fill and does 176kms before the petrol light comes on. That's riding the TL like a nana too!

Nice. When were were riding with a TL-S friend out of Greymouth, we weren't going to be able to do a return trip to Arthurs Pass without a gas-up...he could only manage 150kms on a tank. Thank god we found another servo out near the lakes on the way.

Bloody hell matey. You might as well be using a car! I can get about 480 ks form a tank, (if I had to) without too much trouble.

I've heard that Hondas (and big twins) are heavy on the juice but that's a bit scarey.

Hey skelstar, you getting 240km hard riding or cruising?
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Gonna say 'average'. Very rarely full throttle. Although I have a hard time revving above 6k rpm...its a v-twin mentality (my 250 is vtwin).

Long kms is about the same as short commuting kms. Maybe 20kms difference.

    You?

Generally (cruising and commuting) I'll get about 240km as well. However, when hammering it the fuel light comes on at about 215km!!! Quite a difference. (Tank is 19L for those who don't own Hornets)

Dont mess with the fluro vests, they apparently come in handy at accident sites.

Also, had the wife sew one on to a polar fleece, so now warm and visible...
