every other shop seem to make a big deal out of test rides .. how do they expect to sell bikes if they don't let you ride them ???

Hamilton Motorcycles won't even talk to me .. I've been there 4 times, and never ... *NEVER* has anyone come to talk to me .. I must have retard tattooed on my forehead
your in whatawhata?? Me too I think i might have seen you blasting down my road without a helmet a few times

mason rd. Used to see someone riding in t-shirt no hemlet on a black bike. Also get someone on a dirt bike quite often.

Dunno about test rides....Road and sport let me fang a 1999 GSXR750 while I was still on my learners, I think it just depends who you talk to.
But I found them to be overpriced for most things normally and not to free with the discounts either.
My girlfriend got a lot of her riding gear there and they gave her bugger all discount.

Could well be. Anything to get punters through the door is a smart move.
Supercross cycles, (just up from Boyds in the hunting/fishing old premises) might be having a accessories sale in a week or two also.
Possibly some "opening specials" at Hamilton Honda also.
Hamilhole is starting to get organised again.

I wont go back in the door of Road & Sport after I bought my VL250 there, great with making the sale, but no follow thu, I paid for screen, saddle bags to be fitted at the time of purchase,, then got the run around BIG time, I think they thought I was a mushroom with the amount of bull the were feeding me & they couldn't get there lies straight

Love dealing with Boyd's tho, what R&S said wasn't avaible they had for me in 4hrs

Interesting, Dave - I had the opposite experience with Road and Sport in March this year. They gave me mega discount on my SV - enough to fully kit up with everything - helmet, leathers, boots, gloves etc for what the bike alone would have cost me. Guess I got 'em on a good day - or got a good salesman......or maybe it was because it was their last SV and they were going out of Suzuki the next week.......whatever - I was happy enough.

Well i have to support Boyd Honda.
Bought a few things from there. Always get a discount, All the staff are friendly and easy to talk to. I've bought a couple of things from Road & Sport also, but never sent anything to their workshop, heard bad things about back there.
Also Boyds took me in so i could do work experience in the workshop

9cents - Dont let people tell you that you are going to crash, or that once you get your first bin over with you will be better off. I've never crashed my bike and ive been riding for a year and a half ish, about 30,000k's in total on both bikes. Just take it easy, know your limits and go 80% of that. Then when things go wrong, you have 20% left over to recover.
Good luck on the road, Might see you out there.

ZeroIndex - I thought you had your full licence now? Your going backwards

Hmmmm... I ve just been into the new Honda store in Hams... Was impressed with the very cute blonde at the front counter.. Friendly and helpful.
However wasn't that impressed with the other two guys down the back. If I was riding a Honda I'd be sticking with Boyds thats for sure.

Plain and simple... You can't beat Boyds for price or service.. Oh and Jen is a cutie too....

A bit premature considering they only opened this week. The "boys" in the back prob have more experience between them in MC industry than you could shake a stick at. And wait there's more to come!
