Anything that overtakes a truck better, is better on NZ roads. That makes the GSXR1000 better than the GSX750

The Boxster? I don't drive hairdressers cars. Mine is the real deal. Don't you mean the Agusta?

GIVEN that speed limits are 100+9kmh
    GIVEN that petrol is <$1.70/litre
GIVEN that NZ Roads are generally crap (especially during these REALLY exciting winter months)
GIVEN there are LOTS of speed cameras etc.
GIVEN that any review for ANY M/C in ANY M/C Magazine MAY indicate a slight problem (such as Shedloads of vibration in the grips) but still recommend any bike tested.

GIVEN the above, I RECKON THAT A Brand new 2006 GSX 750F that is available for $10.995 is pretty good, let alone a flash harry anything else.

    Can ANYONE PROVE ME WRONG??????!!!!!!!

If you can, please recommend a fantastic alternative machine that can fulfill an average motorcycling dream in NZ's current climate. (Other than a trade me hack) Otherwise why spend more than $11k on a brand new bike of any other brand?????

(Trust me, please prove me wrong)
Why buy an $11,000 750 when a 3 hundy 500 has all the bases covered and will actually go up in value

I think there is heaps of difference in bikes .... I tried a GSXF (750) then got on the ThunderCat. The difference in handling and feel of the bike while on the road was incredible. A friend (who is bike mechanic) reckons you get what you pay for and an 11k bike isn't anything like a 17k bike.

Buy a slightly used R6, CBR, 636, GSXR, Daytona (if you want a sports bike).

I enjoy mine immensely. She is a commuter when I need to travel around Wellington , shes fun around a good windly ocean road, and can move fast enough for me when I need to pass, even in 6th gear. Cruises very comfortablely at legal speeds and is really only happy at at least 120kph.
and I am still getting around 75kms per 4 litres for open road useage. I have had bigger bikes but 86HP is enough and looking forward to doing some touring end of the year. I understand the later models are only 80HP ??? If thats the case what HP is the latest 750F ??

If there wasn't any difference you couldnt justify the price I guess. I second the above choice of bikes too. I like my hondas but took a rap on a 636 and it was the ducks guts I gotta say.
