    Old

    Old....

    I'm OLD, real old....

So fuckin old I can remember wetting myself crouched around the first TV in the district scared shitless over the Daleks! In Black and White before that became a racial issue...

What I learned is, there is good, and there is bad. In between is a lot of other stuff that is nearly always a waste of time!!

Lately, this site and the mods have ahad a hammering. A hammering from the young and rash of voice. My advice? Pull your heads in, bury your personal feelings and give thanks to the people that make this thing called KB happen! If you cause controversy (sorry, drunk) deliberately, for shame...

Never have us bikers had such a chance, never have we had such a voice. Destroy it? You won't get a second chance you idiots... Youth? So wasted on the young....

If you want to really live, give a bit OK...

    OK.. Off to bed!

    You wet yourself? HA!! LOL

KB rocks, and all should uphold the values of respect, and arguement, like yin and yang, black and white, noodles and rice.

Thanks to Mods, good on y'all.

And youth ain't so bad, depends how you work it.

Edit: Black and white TV, we had one of them when I was a chiddler... go Blake 7!! or mebbe we were poor...
come to think of it, I had a crystal radio too... hmmmm

Oddly, it ain't youff making the aggro, they're all over in LOTPIHGAD. Only sane place to be at the moment.

And black and white TV doesn't classify you as old. To classify as old you have to remember huddling over the big oak HMV radio listening to Life with Dexter.

    Yeah, I reckon Ixion.

    I didn't see colour telly until I was 10, and I'm not 40 yet.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I just had this conversation with another and I hope I've had as much goodtimes and bad as some of you guys have when or if I get to that age. I'll take a quoe from that conversation and relate it here...

I read a story in a bike book the other day ,about the old days and that was 10yrs after my time!!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.

And crank handle telephones and party lines! PLease! I don't need to be reminded how old I am, I've just been to the gym with my 30 year old son and my 28 year old (nearly) son-in-law and my youngest (21) daughter. On the way there I texted my eldest daughter who's been to Plunket today with my Grandson! Believe me, I know how old I am! (But being older does have advantages....

Oh no Ixion! And Gunsmoke too! We played on the road and yards, mothers would yell for us to come home...and all the Dads could whistle, everyone knew their own fathers whistle, and we all went in to listen to Life With Dexter on the radio. We had a car, pretty flash in those days - a lot of kids fathers rode a push bike to work.Mum walked to the shops and bought her groceries, then walked home again - then everything was delivered, the groceries in the grocery van,the butcher too,the greengrocer came around with a truck, coal was delivered in sacks.....city kid eh? Anyone who got a TV got every kid in the street for the evening too.

I logged on to this site a couple of days ago,and for the first time never opened a single thread, there was nothing here to interest me.But bugger me,today was a bit of a turnaround! I'm with Paul - wow, what a dream this internet is,to talk about bikes with people from all over the world....to talk about bikes with people I don't know, but we might have stood side by side at a race meeting 10 yrs ago and never knew it....everyone gets a chance to express their opinion...sigh.

Utopia is not quite what I dreamed of as a hippy...just little bits here and there - it'd be a pity to wreck something nice like a vandal or grafitti artist....but I guess they enjoy the destruction....

Just seen episodes 1 & 2 of the new series. #2 with the werewolf nearly got me behind the couch!

but yeh, agree with the rest, we should stick together and help each other. Thats what bikers do right?
