Apparently the new road up the playground (Tukkas) is being opened today at 2pm.
I wonder what it'll be like. Its supposed to make the road straighter.

Dont sweat the small stuff, It only makes you stressed,
Crime in this country is really getting out of control when corners get nicked. I've already reported several stolen corners to the Police. Can't wait to hear their response!Originally Posted by Wasp

Yeah and maybe we should go find them, and join them, since we can't beat em.Originally Posted by MD

Next thing you know, they'll be cutting a tunnel straight through the hill!![]()
Exactly. Particularly as the passing lanes finish at the top of a rise, leading into a nice downhill slope at precisely the point where most drivers will be at "top speed" after passing... gives the old laser gun a great opportunity for harvesting.Originally Posted by Streetwise

Fuck I hope so, so all the trucks, cars etc can use the tunnel and we can have the hill to ourselves.Originally Posted by Dafe

Jebus!! I went over to the jet sprints last week and I couldn't find Kaitoke - they cut it off!! There's a passing lane there now and that's all!! The big Taka hill hasn't changed thankfully - they're not gonna change that are they??!!??
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
If that ever happens, I got a spare broom in my garage. Can't see you maintaining the hill for us though. Better left for Honda riders I say!Originally Posted by jimbo600

Nah I'll do it. Give me something to do while I'm waiting for them at the top of the hill.Originally Posted by Dafe

Well....... When I was over at Castle Point about a year and a half ago I saw the local rag had a big pic of the top of the hill and was showing how a couple of corners were going to be straightened. Can't remember how definite it was or what exactly was going on and now it's over a year later and bugger all's happened so perhaps it was just a bad dream. I hope.Originally Posted by Colapop

They love parking on the gravel right above the Marchant Road turn off. From there they can point their lasers and shit all the way up to the rise before the Kaitoke Water Works Road to catch people heading up, and as for anybody heading down, the trap is deadly as. You just can't see them until you're already pinged.Originally Posted by Insanity_rules
I heard that the Tukkas are going to be straightened out a bit. Wish they would dig a tunnel, I'd pay a toll to use the hill if the cars weren't on it.
