There is about 20km of gravel ( i think that far) which is usually in pretty good order, the rest of the ride is well worth the little bit of gravel. At the moment i belive the road is closed due to slips from the rain at the weekend; check with the aa to find when reopened.
I did it a couple of years ago on my 2000 Aprilia RSVR and it was more like 50k's and mid summer (read dry,and we all know what dry gravels like,totally shitty on a sports bike) but hey it was well worth it for the seal either side of the gravel.

There is actually about 35kms of gravel. Split by the Annie (hill, right in the middle) itself, which is sealed. According to last night's paper, the road has been re-opened.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
