I recommend a GN250, its the greatest learner bike. Also the best fuel economy, I can get round on $5.50 a week, up to $10 if i went for a ride in the weekend. And you can get an '05 for about $3000, but a '85 is usually just as good. Spare parts are everywhere, and cheap. Top speed is round 120km, but remember it is just a learner bike. And its best to stay on this next bike for at least a year, dont try to upgrade too soon.

What's the fuel economy on the GN250? I get 250km on $14 (96octane)

Welcome Mattie, remember dont feed the Honda riders after midnight OK?? Luck with the bike mate. A GN is a good learner, pretty bulletproof but not exciting.
