you can ask the police if a bike is of interest to them (I used a form from a VTNZ station). and it's free to do it.
Good luck convincing your other half on the economic logic behind your buy... it is an excellent investment :-)

I did a more thorough job. The trick is to find something really solid to plant the front wheel into.
It may sound like your typical salesmans bullshit response, but what difference does it make if it's been done by a salesman (or test rider for that matter) compared to one that's had the same done to it by the previous owner(s)?Originally Posted by jonbuoy

This bugger got a hold of it
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
LOL even with camo gear on there's no disguising it
Wasn't meant as a dig, but if any bike is gonna have been ragged it will be the demo one.............Originally Posted by Crasherfromwayback

Merely wanted to say that ex demo's are no problem.
If you think about it, sports bikes are made for thrashing (who here with a sports bike doesn't think that they give it a wee bit of a workout now and then?!), and at least when they're owned by a dealer they generally get looked after mechanically regardless of cost.
Better that than a bike that's been owned and thrashed by someone that's over committed on HP and can't afford the service side of things.
There are probably quite a few people sifting about here that have purchased ex race bikes without problems.....often some of the best looked after bikes about.
I have found that the TL got planted in a car that failed to give way. It was stuck so well that it stayed upright , avoiding damage to the rear 1/2.
