    1200 Moto Morini

Well just had a looky at the new 1200 Morini at shop in town that is selling them & must say very nice . I am going to try & get myself a ride on it tomorrow with ashit load of luck & do abit of a write up on it > If no ride then some pics will have to do > I believe Image Motorcycles in New Plymouth is the sole agent for these & have sold all 3 so far . Fingers crossed for tomorrow .

I first saw a write-up on these in Two Wheels about 8 months ago and have lusted after them ever since.
It's great to see one in the country at last.
What colour is it? They come out on a tasty maroon and silver and also a black as far as I know.

Bike mag did a comparison with a Brutale 910. Both sound like the mutts nuts, the unknown factor will be whether they stay in business.

New Plymouth owners is Black the one in the Shop is Red which I'm told is better looking then black but will hold judgement till seen both . Talked to Neil shop owner of Image motorcycles here in town & yes they are the only place to get them from apart from buying off the net .

Keep us informed Sensei of what you think of it. Be interested in how it compares to the Superduke. The Morinis sure look cool.

    Moto Morini

Had a look today - most impressed. Only one left of current shipment. One going to Auckland this afternoon (pictured), one owned in Wellington (Dallas Rankine I believe) & one in New Plymouth.

Thanks for the info guys & pics. Bugger none of you got a test ride. Dallas moved to Tauranga a couple of years ago, but I can see him on one of these, so maybe it is him. Would be nice to see it cruising around our local roads though.

    Moto Morini

The purchase price includes 2 year warranty servicing. You only pay for consumables. All servicing to be done at Eurobike appointed shops at their expence according to Don O'Connor.

Got to see the red Moto Morini finally

New Plymouth is motorcycle central. Love visiting that place. So many people ride. Why not, it's always sunny when I'm there or is it just that the sun likes to follow me around whenever I'm NOT riding.
Passing a College/high school and great to see the students parking lot was full of scooters.
Anyway I got to have a squiz at the Morini. Sweet looking alright and quite slim and light to sit on- no demo available, bugger. I liked the shape of the tank, with more curves than Pamela Anderson. I think the price was either $23,995 or $24,995? The choices in the naked class are fantastic these days.
