My boss has an audi and thinks it's cool that one of her managers rides to work - she is especially keen on the loud vtwin noise it makes in the underground garage. I ride to work cos it's less stressful than taking my car. I tend to drive my car when I need good hair for going out later or something. Most people that come to meetings may see me beforehand in my gear but when I come to the meeting, I'm transformed into a business woman. I travel to meetings on it as well. I just ask the receptionist if there is anywhere I can leave my gear ,do a quick change in the toilets and no one notices. My ventura pack rack is also the biggest handbag I have.

My boss doesnt have a problem with it.
About a week after i got my bike he was asking me where i picked it up from. 2 days later he turned up on his own new bike.

Over all my work does not matter. When we were moving to new offices, and put a new parking lot in, i asked to put a motorbike park in for me which they did which is right ourside my window so i can get look out side at my bike every day.

They are not to fussed that i ride, and i even get paid to ride my bike to other depots for work from time to time

I couldn't find the "Boss can get stuffed" option.

So long as you turn up and the work gets done, then they have no recourse as to the mode of transport you use.
... but the little undercover parking spot is rather nice for the bike....

I don't think my boss would give it a thought, there's a few of us who ride to work.

Though, I haven't worked at the main office in months.

I work at Gull in Hastings, to fund my studentness. My boss doesnt mind me using my bike. She even lets me leave my bike in the store room during work.

I turned up to a job interview once and the guy said "Dont waste my time, I employed someone who rode a bike once; and he spent more time off work than on due to accidents then he died in a crash. Dont even bother talking to me I wouldnt hire you."
I was shocked and thought he might be taking the piss at first but nope he wasnt.
