    The more the merrier!!

PS. Whisky (without the "e" ) is the Scottish variety and Whiskey (with the "e" ) is the Irish variety and they get very annoyed if you mix them up, believe you me!!!

Well, Steve (the Whisky & Red Wine loving Englishman) has already booked his flights down here, so we're definitely looking at March, and almost certainly a 2 week tour.

We're just waiting to hear confirmation on if/when they're running the 2nd Annual John Britten Memorial Race Meeting and then we'll set definite dates for the tour.

I will certainly keep you posted.

Did one once in Invervegas when I hit an unseen judder bar coming out of a driveway - managed to somehow weave between the cars (some of it on the rear wheel) on the main drag (about three lanes wide at that point) and get things back under control,
I'm sure my arse sucked a button off the seat with fright I got and the way my pulse went for a few seconds I though my ticker was going to valve bounce! - still once I got the button back out of my arse it seemed like a bit of a hoot - and my mates thought I was just showing off

So Scumdog, can you be a bit more specific than "South Otago" If some of us could get in a SI tour what town should we aim at? I got down to the Westcoast in Oct 03 and feel I owe myself a trip round the lake district sometime within the next 12 mths. Like salmon, Mainlanders need to migrate home once a year. Cheers.

My understanding is that the Britten race is definitely going to happen in 2005, though the timing may change slightly (this year it was 12/13/14 March). If I hear anything I'll do a posting.

Bear in mind there is the Ducati Tourismo happening around that time too, it may well be timed around the Britten meeting. (from memory your Whisky/etc man has a 916 so you/he may be interested in this?)

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.

Hhmmmm, given your "location" on your heading you might want to be "somewhere else"
I won't divulge my address here but if you send me an e-mail I'll tell you more! (hope my e-mail address is on this site under "members" )

You utter bastards. After this thread I had to go out and buy a bottle of Laphroaig last night.

It still tastes like a peat bog, and it's just as good as I remember it

I was wise enough to call around before I went out - most of t'local shops didn't have any. Got the last bottle on the shelf from King Dick's in Lincoln Rd. So don't any of you bother going in there for Laphroaig this week

Ouch $90. Guess the kids miss out on MacDonalds this week :disapint:.

Still excellent choice. My Laphroaig's nearly out. At least I've still got the Andeluin, and Lagavulin to keep me going before I have to resort to the Blended ones (urgh).
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I had to pay $112. They're keeping the prices up for the jafas, obviously. The kids will be eating nothing but stale Weetbix for the rest of the month at this rate...
