I was in Gilmours (where dairy's buy their stock) a couple of months back and was horrified to see an official Red Bull poster above the new 250mL bottles "Maximise sales with smaller bottles" or something to that effect... pricks.

So the companies are trading on your dirty little addictions eh?
Bit like the pubs and petrol really- they know once you're hooked, you have to have it, so they can stiff you large

man that was all that kept me going on the solo coro loop missions, leave home at 6am, stop for gas, scull a red bull, arrive home for a coffee by 9am. got to be a habit, the coffee was just to help me come down slowly..8-)
    ..it's another red light nightmare..

I've noticed the same ... I got quite excited when I found I could buy 2 bottles for $5. Then was rather gutted when I noticed the cans were the same size.

    My advice: Buy 2 x 250ml - 1 x 350ml was never quite enough!

No offence sunhuntin, but your workmate would have had to have other problems/causes for 7 bottles to have any life threatening effect.

If all it took was 7 bottles neither myself nor a single Geek/LANer I know would be alive. I've frequently seen 2-3 dozen consumed (including by yourstruely), that's not including coke/lollies/bk/etc in up to a 48 hour period.

Not recommending doing it, but would put the stuff in the same basket as coffee, coke, .

Don't drink much of the stuff (either Red Bull or V) these days mainly due to $$$. Too many other things for the cash to go on.

Think what I'm saying is anything can kill you. Take Leah Betts for example. Died from drinking 7 litres of water in less than 90 minutes. On the other hand, it's amazing what people can build up a tolerance to (as in live through). Take Mr A who consumed approximately 40,000 E's over a 9 year period. True he's pretty messed up now, but still alive.

No real point to this post. Just a stream of consciousness.

They changed to 250ml due to the low sales volume of the 350ml. Or so the rep told me.

I'm a V fan too, and yes I noticed the effect is less and less as time goes on.
I know the V craving well, if there is a can in the fridge I can swear I hear it calling my name!
My theory is it is not caffeine addiction, but a sugar craving. I did a experiment where upon on getting the V craving I had a small glass of coke and the V craving went away immediately. Most people do not realize that sugar is a drug and VERY addictive! (they also have no idea they are addicted, don't believe me? Try giving it up, and that includes processed foods that have it in them, and see how you go!)
I also noticed I used to get in a foul mood if I'd not had a V for 2 days!

I don't know if I should be telling you this, but if you cycle through the diff brands of energy drink, the buzz does not dissipate as much! I think that different drinks effect different people in different ways. (I've tried Red Bull twice now and absolutely nothing, I suspect V would be like that for some Red Bull drinkers)
That red lizard stuff the warehouse had for a while was rocket fuel!
V is still my fave though!
Interestingly, V is illegal to sell in the States.

If you're worried about sugar (or your weight) try the sugar free one. I prefer the black myslef, chicks mostly like the red one.

I can't stand any of those drinks, they are just so sweet! It takes a shit load of bourbon to make them drinkable. But someone gave me 3 cans a couple of weeks ago...so I drank them during the day instead of my coffee. That night was hell,I couldn't get to sleep until 3.00am,I was a bit worried as I could hear my heart banging away and I was thrashing around...they certainly have an effect, but don't pick me up during the day.

I noticed the other day, when I gave the red one one more chance that it seems less like brake fluid now compared to when it was released, must of had a flavour adjustment.

oh yeah and black all the way
