It was myself and my youngest daughter at home yesterday morning so I decided to do a few maintenance jobs to the ZZR. To cut a long story short my eldest daughter came over and I ended up babysitting my eldest grandson (I have two), so it was just the two of us.
Whenever he comes over the first thing he always does is to jump on the bike (and leave dirty fingerprints everywhere). So yesterday I thought I would take the young fella for a ride (and for all you gear nazis we only had running shoes, jeans, and a t-shirt on, and it felt good too). Put the bike back together, sat him on the tank, feet on the top of the fairing, and holding on (for dear life) to the clutch and front brake master cylinders. He had an absolute ball so much so that when we pulled up outside the garage he wanted to go again. So what was I to do? Take him out again, yep. Great fun, just a shame we didn't get past the front lawn.
We have someone who will take up the sport when he's older. I also look forward to the day when he's big enough for me to take him out on the road.![]()
