I sent a shitload of racial derogatory blunt abuse to one of those scammers - never heard a cheep from them!!!

yeah but you weren't giving out your details were you... colapop doesn't sound quite up with the play on this sort of thing to realise, no matter how smart you think you are being, your not going to get any money out of them

I think colapop might have been being a little facetious.

going on his initial response to the first thread...
Being the easily agitated exremely insecure person that I am, I should probably take offense at those statements and start a personal attack and red rep and then write a thread about it and get sin binned and the say "F*ck you all I'm leaving" but not really leave.....

I could quite well have been being facetious in all of the posts I've made previously in this thread. My point is that if you don't ask a question of the person contacting you then you do not know that they are a scammer. What's wrong with asking a question like I stated? Is it giving out information? Whoever the buyer is, do you seriously think they're going to go to the effort of getting even? So what if you play along for a bit?

There is no such thing as "common" sense anymore, even children are warned of posting personal infoprmation on the internet. Trademe has never said you must put your phone number, address and personal details in your ads.

I am mystified that you seem to be so vehement in your reaction to my comments....?

because i have had to deal with to many people who get ripped off, by not realising, and it gets a bit repetitive after a while
if you are going to waste some of their time, read this site to find out how:

It seemed to me that the originator of this thread was pretty aware that it was a scam and had his eyes open. I know what you mean about people doing stupid things though. Using credit cards to pay other credits for example.
