isn't it convenient how it's difficult to actually diagnose a person with any of the above... and the ones that are detectable, how can they possibly prove that loud exhausts are a contributing factor??
then i read this on the boom cars part:
"If you see a car audio shop opening up in your community, organize with your neighbors and stage a protest. Make picket signs and send a media alert to local newspaper and television news outlets so they can cover the event."

This issue isn't as simple as a "yes" versus "no" response to a poll.

Bikers need to acknowledge that they live in a wider community. While, for some the deep bark of an unmuffled Harley or the howl of an inline-four stirs their soul in a manner similar to the plaintive cry of a timberwolf or some other primeval urge, others like a quieter life.

The politically-correct move amongst us with the patience of a glacier. They need to be vociferously resisted where applicable. Their cause will be greatly enabled by red-necked, unmuffled bikers.

In the case of noise controls, the "truth" will lie somewhere between the extremes of "yes" or "no".

And those who don't like seeing sportspeople spitting.

Or no scores being kept during primary school sports games.

Or people who think that SUVs are safe.

I'll try and help by going past them as fast as possible to keep the duration time down...
Anything to help them sleep at night, wankers, don’t they have bigger problems in there sorry little lives?
What’s next? Sorry you can’t have a red bike caus it’s too bright and shiny, might disturb the kids ya know.
If they can push this through why cant we ban cell phones in cars and tell them to shove the ACC theft?
We all have our little obsessions...

While I completely agree with you, Hitcher, I think it's more the blatant extremism that's got everyone up in arms.

After all, a bike can be noisy, and oftentimes they probably are too noisy (especially late at night). But part of the world is learning to negotiate. This site puts up a "not-negotiable" front which is at odds with a peaceful, give-and-take society.

You can't just look for a blanket ban on something because it annoys you and a select group of your comrades. After all, if that was the case, then half of KB would try to ban cages on the roads.

Like you say, the truth lies between "yes" and "no". It's just too bad that this group appears to be a little too keen on the "yes".

Whilst they do make one or two valid points, they are just another bunch of politically correct tossers who truly believe it is their right to have their cake and eat it, too.
Unfortunatley, we have politically correct governments who listen to them...

Who in their right mind would take on bikers?????

If you believe that a bike is illegally loud and its bothering you, deal with it via the appropriate authorities. Don't feckin tar us all with the same brush. Don't we have a little thing in this country called freedom? These guys are trying to stamp on ours. They have the right to say whatever they like but hells teeth! PC thuggery at its finest.

It's called depression. My guess is this person's mental illness causes his/her obsession with noise, not the other way around....

I'm going to email them suggesting they talk to a psychologist.

[Edit:] for the record, I suspect they do have a few more bikers running around on VERY loud bikes over there, not talking same league as a gixxer with a yoshi pipe.
