apparantley they get their gun licences for free too. not that they need them though - their police mates just turn a blind eye anyway to caches of ak47's etc

also, i heard that there's some members of the public riding bikes that are bigger than their conditions allow! SOME don't even have a licence at ALL. and some, just quietly, HAD a licence, but lost it cause they were naughty, but they still ride. ummmmmm

come on, this IS kiwibiker.co.nz after all. since when have facts got in the way of a good story? it's much easier to bitch on here that actually make a complaint of substance.

Well I heard that there were some cops given exemptions to ride bigger CC bikes specifically so they could ride the "work" hacks on their learners. I've also heard lots of other things that were obviously false, so I reserve judgement on how true this particular rumour is. Which is disappointing, cos I haven't read a decent cop bashing thread in days. Has someone got some facts we can start a good bashing with? There was that loser drink driver who caused that prang up AUckland way that used to be a cop? Can we start on that one??

Regarding the CBTA, I went from start to finish inside 3 months. And that was mainly scheduling and laziness issues (mostly on my part) that meant it took that long. Could be someone who happened to be employed as a cop decided to get his learners on Monday, did the CBTA restricted the next monday, then the CBTA full the following Monday. OMG - hate it when those bastards do what we do. Double standards all right.

i'm pretty sure this is an accusation.

or is it just a fact that it's a rumour?

i had heard that 17% of cops get their licence without even having to have a test ride.

i also heard that 63% of stuff you read on the internet is true.

    or was it false?

    i can't remember.

oh that's right. it was true.

    i think.

No, its not. Police don't issue drivers licences these days, the only people committing that type of fraud are ex MOT traffic cops who are now employed by licence testing agencies.
