What I meant was please don't. Good idea in theory but in practice they rip, bad! And friends don't let friends get hurt. I crashed in a pair of patch sewn jeans (in 1992 before you smart asses give me heaps) and they self destructed.

Although if done right they should work, test it out first - make them put them on a manakin tie to a rope and through out of car at 100k's see how they hold up. And video it.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

I'll volunteer to video it, and I'll post it too.

I still have a pair of jeans with leather patched outside from the knees up - but too 'large' to fit them now

Dunno if they would have done any good but they looked kewl - and were warmer than just denim.

It's really disapointing the way leather shrinks so much - my vest has shrunk so much it looks like my gut is exploding out of it!

Leathers plus jeans = one fat arse - if I were you I'd rather wear one well-made layer than two makeshift ones!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
