I saw this first hand. was quite miffed that I couldnt fix it straight away. but I knew it would fix it self 'magically' in a few hours.
which it has done
anyway, who wants to visit other websites?

I only posted this because of the global economic crisis
last night i could only get kiwibiker and a few other sites but now tis fine
Sete you will be missed, champion at heart.
They also had problems recieving emails yesterday as well, they were bouncing back saying "return address rejected". They managed to clear that up mid morning, then trouble with the dsl lines in the evening. No doubt we will hear about it all in the news with them blaming it on the local loop unbundling.
yeah I heard them mention it on the radio this morning.
first time ive been awake to hear my radio going before the BZZZZT noise. I didnt even think that worked

Yep I lost all other browsers except KIWIBIKER (YAY SpankMe)
Now all day yesterday I was getting emails at random...
Like I was receiving emails during the day that were sent to me on Sunday...
they were coming in all over the place...but they would slot into their correct time space in my inbox....
Blardy hard finding these emails when one gets so many...
I do have to wonder how many emails are still floating out there in cyberspace.
It was damned annoying as I was expecting a few important emails...
I would have been damned hard on business who are with Xtra yesterday.
That was happening to people on Dial-up and broadband.
But damn it I still kept on receiving all those spam emails..
It seems to be working ok today....... the browsers.
Edit: Just received at 9.15am another email that was sent on Sunday just after 4pm

Everything shat itself on my computer including myself, not looking forward to cleaning up
I'm not sure whether everything is working properly even now. I can access the 'net through work and also get into my Xtra mail account but my wife still can't get into it through home. I just hope that I haven't stuffed up my broadband fiddling about with it before I called Xtra last night and got the recorded message about nationwide problems. Is anyone still having problems today accessing emails through Xtra or getting onto the net?
LMAO...
So let me get this right.
Telecom protested right up until then end - we're the most competitive, we've invested in infrastructure we're this we're that blah blah blah
They were in possession of a Cabinet Paper all that time which certainly put them at no strategic disadvantage
And now they have what appears to be a system wide failure that kills web access to their entire customer base?
I'm guessing they did pass their final exams at popularity school

Everyone knows telecon gives you cancer...
'tis true!! It can be proven in lab rats, etc, etc....
TOP QUOTE: “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”
People with other providers are also noticing the problem, telecon is like a little three year old throwing her toys when things dont go her way!Originally Posted by ManDownUnder
Yes, but this would be the only 3 year old I'd suggest slapping in response...Originally Posted by sAsLEX
