For the benefit of everyone here, could you please explain exactly where on West Tamaki Road (Glen Innes) the speed limit is 100 km/hr. This is a built up residential area.

Your story keeps changing to suit yourself and I think its just a figment of your imagination that you were pushed around by the cops.

You're on a learners licence trying to be a bloody hero, and in the process giving everyone else here a bad rep. Your rego is now memorised.

Discretion as to what you post on here can take you a long way...BS is fine, but watch for potential unintended consequences, as the cops on here are real, and seem like pretty decent folk for the most part IMHO. Is antagonising them really going to achieve anything positive for you in the future, or anyone else for that matter?

Muse on that for a moment. And then read this thread of mine.

If you're polite, and take yer medicine, then you get a little further with the Police than you might otherwise be entitled to sometimes.

If what you say about the police pushing you is true, that is of concern, and warrants legal advice (unless, of course, for some reason it was appropriate.)

However, as the Police ID number is on the ticket (so it's not just an anonymous 'bad cop'), and there were obviously witnesses who could verify a fracas at home (to verify that you lived there) , I'm not sure your side of the story is all there is to it. Why would the police identify themselves with paperwork if they'd just broken the rules?

I have no problem with the Police having a bit of a nut-off from time to time when it's appropriate to issue a bollocking, so long as it is not offensive (ie racist or suchlike). I'd much rather have a bollocking and be scared into behaving than meet a 'by the rulebook' copper that was polite but condescending as they handed me the exact ticket I deserved in the circumstances.

Take it easy on the roads, we're all mortal.
