What if there had been a large truck sideways across the road, backing into a driveway? Or any other obstacle. If you can't see over the brow of a hill, slow down. The road code (and common sense, too) are crystal clear on this.

This is all part of driving defensively...something that, unfortunately, bikers need to do more than other traffic.
OK sure, it's a blind hill and that's a bitch. But you know it's there. You know you don't know what's on the other side. Common sense dictates that you take the Boy Scout route and Be Prepared.
